EMC CX4-120, failed disk

Hi,

I would replace a failed disk on my EMC Storage CX4-120

It's out of warrenty, service tag <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>

How can we proceed?

Thanks

Hello Claudio,

If you look in Navisphere/Usphere and the drive has already been marked as failed/ faulted then you can remove the drive and replace it with the new drive.  Now what you need to be aware of is that if the drive doesn’t have an EMC logo on it the drive will not be seen by your CX4-120.  Once the drive has been inserted then if you had a hotspare drive configured then the copy back process will start and the new drive should have a T on it as that is the copy back process.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
