Isilon home directory permissions

Hi

We have a user share using the expansion variable %U.  When new users access it their folder is created but the permissions don't create correctly, instead of getting Full Control they get special permissions for only the local folder (when viewing via a Windows box).

I think I've narrowed it down to the ACL permissions on the share itself being changed so I believe if the permissions are set back to what they should be it should fix the issue. I don't want to mess up the existing access so am wondering if there is a way I can reset the permissions somehow without "breaking" the existing shares?

I was thinking that if I delete and then reshare with "Apply Default Windows ACL"  this will fix the issue at hand but could screw up the existing folders permissions perhaps?

Thanks
