Hello MountaiNN,
As I stated yesterday there is not a max drive size that is restricted by firmware that I am aware of. So you should be able to use a drive larger than 8tb & have it seen by your controller. I have not personally test this so I can’t say for sure that it will work.

Hello,
I'll need to double check this, but I believe the PERC6 family had a 2TB maximum. I had an R710 with an H700 that I used unvalidated 8TB drives with (never encountered any issues). Like we'd talked about in the other thread, I haven't seen an upper bound on the controllers later than the HX10 family. If I can find any additional information, I'll add it to the thread Monday.

Hello MountaiNN,
As Dylan stated there is not a upper size limit on the controllers.

Hello @DELL-Sam L ,
So you mean I can use drives up to 20TB on any of the controllers mentioned above (not counting the H700 and PERC 6i)? There will be no problems, is it 10/12/15/20 TB? Should they work or rather "must" work?
