Dimension 2400 intel 3d extreme graphics video card

My 12 year old son just saved up his money and bought a new dimension 2400. Now he has discovered that some of the games that he wants to put on his machine need a 3d hardware accelerator card that can run direct x 9. What can he do to upgrade his NEW machine so that these games will work. Thank you for any help you can provide.

The name "Intel extreme graphic's " is a joke. It is not extreme in any sense of the word...

I *completly* disagree. It is extreme...ly bad :D ;)

Sorry! Couldn't resist.

You should go for either an ATi 9600 XT or a 9800 XT. These cards are very common.

I thought he said that he wanted AGP
