New Inspiron 20 taskbar right click corruption

Brand new Inspiron 20, Model 3048 seems to have a corrupted right click menu only on the Windows 8.1 taskbar. Everything else is fine. This menu is displaying black text on dark purple background and is unusually wide and some of the icons within the menu are too large.

Straight out of the box. Haven't added anything to this computer except for Microsoft Office 2013, Adobe Acrobat and free antivirus. Couldn't find anything on the net except something about WindowBlinds, which I don't have.

Thanks.

Hi ,

Can you try unpinning the icon and add it again?

If that doesn't make any difference, Can you ensure windows is up to date and upgrade the OS to Windows 10?

Thanks

Hi,

Is it possible to attach a screenshot or a picture of the taskbar?

Can you check if the theme is set to high contrast?

Thanks

Hi Gokul. Thanks for your reply.

Here is a screenshot of the problem. Occurs when right-clicking pinned items.  It is not set to high contrast but if I do set it to high contrast it's easier to see. I can also read the menu by hovering. Someone from Dell already worked on this for 2 hours yesterday. .

Thanks

Thanks Gokul. Upgrading seems to have fixed the problem.
