no audio & won`t play Cd
Dell Laptop Inspiron 6400 windows xp home. My printer won`t load as no cd`s will read in the slot. Also have no audio at all. A friend had just reinstalled windows for me as I had a virus & now this. Any answers??

Windows XP requires that the Notebook System Software be installed first along with the Chipset drivers or the rest of the drivers do not load properly. Directions for a manual reinstall are Here.
