Socket T

I just got a brand new motherboard the BFG 650i LGA 775 and I was wondering if the intel pentium D processor that I got from my dell xps 400 can transfer over to that. The dell manual indicates that the processor is a socket T, but as I looked around most places said that Socket T is the same as LGA 775? So basically, Will my processor transfer to that board safely?

That depends on the chipset on the board. Based on the product description here: http://www.bfgtech.com/bfgrinf650iu.aspx it sounds like it'll take virtually any modern processor, including your Pentium D.

That's is what I thought, when I originally tried to install it I accidentally bent the pins, but I think that was my own stupidity. I'll defiantly do this much more carefully when I receive the new one. Thanks
