XPS 435MT ---> new P/S
System ...... Dell Studio XPS 435MT ( 4 years old) with an OEM Dell P/S DPS-360FB-1A P/S (360w max output, 300w on 12V)
My P/S is 360w max .... i'm thinking of swapping in a new one.... are their anything unusual about the Dell OEM P/S's .... reversed connectors etc.... will a new, off the shelf supply, just drop in?

Generic standard ATX power supply units are compatible, with either a 24-pin or 20+4-pin main motherboard power and a EPS/ATX12V 8-pin connector, with or without the on/off switch.
You should be able to buy a compatible power supply from either a local or online computer store.
Note: You require a power supply with four SATA power connectors.
