If you have a dialup then your upload speed to the Yahoo server is very slow. Consequently, large files will be troublesome to upload and possibly timeout. I think you can see what your practical limits are based on the largest files you have been able to upload.
With cable or DSL the uploads to the Yahoo mail server go very quickly but that is at speeds of 300K up.
