We can't continue install it as got an error "ERROR_NO_NET_OR_BAD_PATH (1203)".We are install DX ver. 6.20.090.SP1. We have installed it at normal Windows Server 2003 (NOT NAS) is OK. Hi Andy,

not really sure when does this error pop-out, but if its at installation time, I guess you might be trying to install DX on mounted network disk?

If its at the configuration time (after install), can you transfer the files (using for instance file-copy over CIFS) normally between primary storage and NAS share?

    best regards,
    Mladen

    Hi Mladen,

    Thanks for your response.
The error pop-out at installation time, so we can't continue to install. We do not install on mounted disk, we installed it at local disk but we do it by remote. All DX file as has been reside at local disk of NAS appliance.

    Pls. your next assistance.

    Thanks,

    Hi Andy,

Remote installation shouldn't be a problem. Before installation, can you make a "ping" on a NetBIOS name of the computer from where you are installing, and on FQDN name, and are both of them replying (from the same IP address)?

Have you checked, have the credentials that you use been entered in Admin group on server?

With "All DX file as has been reside at local disk of NAS appliance" - can you explain in more detail what is meant? Do you mean that DX Installation binaries are currently residing on local disk on NAS?

    best regards,
    Mladen

    Hi Mladen,

There is no problem pinging the server either using NetBIOS or FQDN name
Besides, there are some software / application installed succesfull on server

We tried already using Administrator (local or domain) account on the server but still not worked

NAS2000 used as file server. Windows is pre-install
All disks used are local disks (no NAS or mounted disk attached) separate in to some partition
Yes, all DX binary files reside at local disk NAS2000.

    Mladen,

    More information ...
Only System partition (C:\ drive ) reside in local disk and all DX binary files has been reside at C:\drive
Others partition are mounted from NAS storage

At installtion time, haven't set which drive / folder will installed DX. So, it's still 3 or 4 step of installation and pop out the error.
