Installing v6.5.440 Patch 1

Installing v6.5.440 Patch 1 on MS 2003 cluster active/passive configuration. I see the instructions for the patch but it does not mention a cluster. Does anyone have a preferred method to install the patch. Thank you!

You can also follow the below procedure to install patch  in active/passive cluster,

  1. With resources on preferred node, apply patch to the passive node.  Reboot passive node once patch has been applied.
  2. After passive node is rebooted, move VS groups over to the passive node.
  3. With resources on the passive node, apply patch to the preferred node.  Reboot preferred node once the patch has been applied.
  4. After preferred node is rebooted, move VS groups back over to the preferred node.

DxService should be made offline on all nodes of cluster through CluAdmin. Once service is offline patch needs to be run separately on all nodes of cluster.
