E7250 fails to PXE Boot
Im having an issue trying to build an E7250 from MDT 2013 I get pxe-e53 no boot filename received. Other Models like Optiplex 3020 works fine
Here’s my local network configuration:
DC/DHCP server, MDT/WDS server and SQL server
I found in the internet that other people have the same issue with E7250 and E7450, like this thread
http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/enterprise-client/f/4448/t/19622333
At the beginning I thought well my E7250 Is not picking up an IP address because of the NIC driver.
I have tried every NIC driver on the internet for E7250.
From the PXE 5.0 to the last update for the NIC driver Intel I2xx/825xx 10/100/1000 Ethernet which was released almost two weeks ago.
I have tried the driver in ProWinx64.exe file, Ethernet Driver CD. None of them helped to resolve the PXE boot issue.
I have tried to customize the boot image manually and inject drivers with the DISM command nothing changed.
I went to WDS log files: Logs\Applications and Services Logs\Microsoft\Windows\Deployment-Services-Diagnostics
I found the E7250 is picking up an IP address but nothing happens after that. All I get pxe-e53 no boot filename received.
So I thought then maybe it’s something about the PXE boot like on this article :
http://henkhoogendoorn.blogspot.fr/2014/03/pxe-boot-files-in-remoteinstall-folder.html
I tried the DHCP options and I only made things worse.
So am back with no DHCP options.
The last thing I did it was to browse to the deploymentshare from the E7250 and run the task sequence and it worked. New OS installed with all drivers.
Is there any explanation for this and why the PXE boot still not working.
Thanks
