We have been using the Dell Warranty program in the Client Intgration Pack (Version 3.1) with SCCM 2012 for some time now, but I noticed that we are no longer receiving all the information for the new Latitude models.(E6440,7240,7440,6540).
The [LOB] and ,[System_Model] fields are not being populatd for these models.
The program appears to run properly, but these newly purchased machines are not getting all the information populated.
The version number on the Dell.WarrantyInfor application shows as 3.1.0.99 dated 4/30/2013. It may just be a timing issue, in that all we have received lately is the EXX40 series.
It's a bit difficult to determine if there are any previous models with missing information since we do have a lot of the EXX30 series and the model data is missing.
Another quick question, when I run the Warranty Utility, it says it has some 8000 service tags to process, but if I count the distinct Service Tags in the DellWarranty table, there are 11630 rows. Is there something that should be done to clean up the database table?
As long as you are using v3.1 you should be seeing all of the populated information accordingly. I find it odd that you mentioned Exx40 series only, as the effected machines.
The DellWarranty inför application retrieves 8275 service tags from SCCM. The DellWarrantyInformation table in the database has 11630 distinct service tags in it.
Why is there a disparity between the number of service tags discovered and the number in the DellWarratyInformation table in the SCCM database? How do the records for old/deleted Service Tags get removed from the DellWarrantyInformation table?
This is an example of missing data , this is a E7240.
Jake6731: Have you tried to run a Full Hardware Inventory Cycle on this platform? Maybe there is something wrong with the client reporting. Also, are you using vPro to enable and capture logs?
My recommendation is that you update the SCCM DB and Site information. This may help eliminate any old DDR records for machines that no longer exist or have been purged.
Then perform a full hardware inventory on the client in question.
Client hardware inventory appears to be working just fine. Machines send inventory daily, and the EXX40 machines are reporting. I can seen the Dell Model information in other SCCM Databases. The only place I am missing information is in the Dell Warranty Table.
