Question - how am I supposed to get the drivers to run my image on a Dell 745? The only posted drivers are of the "setup.exe" variety, and I can't seem to extract them. Of course, there don't seem to be driver CAB files for this model. Any help would be appreciated.

@kj0813 - those legacy drivers can be a bit more of a challenge. We don't currently have a document to do that - hopefully we can get something up. . .bascially, you need to extract the drivers from the setup.exe (I often use 7-zip, from www.sourceforge.net). . . you can also launch the setup.exe, and they will extract to c:\dell\drivers (or something like that). and you can grab the drivers from there. . . .
hope that helps a little. Also, spend some time on www.myitforum.com - there should be some documents there.
That does work for some things, however - the chipset drivers simply extract an Intel "setup.exe" and some CABs that cannot extract, so i can't really get my hands on those drivers. Very frustrating...
New Edit - although i think I got the drivers, this machine, as well as Dell D420's, won't complete setup. The image loads, both models will begin to run Windows XP setup, and they both bomb a few seconds into the process with Blue Screens - STOP 0x0000007B errors, which upon research appear to be boot device driver errors. My image works on several other Dells, but not these. Any ideas all? I've loaded every driver I could get that seems relevant to no avail.
I'll check with our Client OS Deployment team and see if they have additional info. 0007B errors - I think that's mass storage - did you see the walkthroughs for the E series? it shows how to apply mass storage drivers. lots of people are deploying 745s and 420s with ConfigMgr osd - so hopefully it's something simple.
I did, actually - my build on an E6400 works like a champ, in fact. I do know how to specify a mass storage driver, sure - but I don't know what those machines might use. Was hoping Dell would tell me :-) In any case, if people really are successfully building these models, I'd love for someone to chime in and tell me what I am doing wrong, or missing.
