Latitude 5310 unable to boot on U4919DW monitor

Hi there,

I'm running my WFH setup with a Latitude 5310 and U4919DW monitor - connected through USB-C.

Everything - BIOS, drivers, etc. is up to date (with Dell Command Update and monitor runs MB105 firmware).

I saw several similar forum conversations (various XPS machines seemed to have the same symptom till a BIOS update) - I simply cannot boot or reboot whilst the laptop is USB-C connected to the monitor. It would just freeze with either nothing, either Dell logo, either horizontal black lines on the login background. If I boot off cable then connect, no problem at all, native resolution 5120*1440 is there, all good.

Can you get this to either monitors labs or Latitude labs and see whether they replicate the problem? I tried with another 5310 from a colleague and result is the same.

My previous laptop was a Latitude 7280 which did not encounter the issue at all.

Thanks
