The time is almost 0.2 ms. while inter-server ping, got
64 bytes from 10.10.150.101: icmp_seq=3 ttl=64 time=0.035 ms
There's a 5-time difference in the timing. They're on the same CISCO Catalyst switch configured in multiple VLANs.
Our problem is that the iSCSI disk performance is bad, much slower than local hard drive. Any comments?"
Different Host(s) OS(s) handle MPIO differently. I'd look there. With that said, remember SANs are all about I/O's per second not sustained throughput. Generall an OS may boot slower but application performance can be dramatically increased over direct attached.
