Dell Storage Manager 2016 R2 Install Issue

Hi All,    I'm looking for some help here. I am doing a fresh install of a Storage Manager 2016 R2 with the database to be on a SQL Server 2012 Enterprise Server. During the product installation everything goes well. But when it comes to setting up the database it seems to run for a long time for a 5 mg database creation (takes about 10-15 minutes for the setup database to finish).  Then after that it starts the data collector service and then that eventually times out and the install is borked.

Hello Al Smith,

It sounds like it is not able to get a connection to your SQL server. What I would do is to check and make sure that port 1433 is open & not blocked by your firewall. Also when you are doing you install are you giving the SQL Database username and password?
