MD Storage Array vCenter Plugin version 2.5 issue

Hi,

I have installed the MD storage array vcenter plugin version 2.5 ok on my vcenter server.

However, on my PC when I launch the VI client I see under manage plugins the option to download and install the plugin. When I do that it fails with the below error:

Dell MD Storage Array vCenter Plug-In Dell, Inc. 02.50.3600.0020
Disabled
Dell MD Storage Array
vCenter Manager
The following error occured while downloading the script plugin from https://172.xx.xx.xx:8088/
vcenterconfig/configuration.xml:
The request failed because of a connection failure. (Unable to connect to the remote server)

Any idea on how to solve this ? (DNS is working fine)

    Hello NZJJ,

    It looks like the file that you downloaded is correct just looks to be an issue accessing it.  Here is a link to the install guide for the plugin.  I would make sure that you installed it as we recommend it & see if you are still getting the same issue. ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/Common/powervault-md3200_Deployment%20Guide6_en-us.pdf

    Hi,

    Thanks for the install manual as I could not find it. That sorted the problem by advising to put in firewall exceptions for the Jetty ports which I did and then everything worked. Thanks again for your help, appreciated.
