Optimal NIC settings for use with an Equallogic array.

I'd like to know the best settings for my onboard Broadcom NIC's for use with Microsoft Exchange 2010 on our Equallogic array with MPIO. I have Jumbo Packets enabled throughout but should I be using ToE or not, tweaking transmit or receive buffers setting speeds or leave as AUTO etc.

We have some performance issues in Exchange but see no issues on the array ???

You really should have flow control configured on the NICs and the switches. Both transmit and recieve flow control if possible, but definitely recieve. Switch configuration may be more important than NIC configuration however. If you are seeing performance issues, definitely contact tech suport for the Equallogic SAN, we can at least verify the array is functioning properly. Also, you can check the http://support.equallogic.com website for network configuration guidelines, or ask your tech support representative.

    No, do not enable TOE.
