using SAN HQ : exception in Service

Hello,
I try to use SANHQ to monitor a PS4000.
When I launch SAN HQ, connection is establish ( can read firmwar version), but i can’t get any data. There’s 1 alert condition : « unexpected exception in Service ».
The service is running (green light in san HQ and on services console) It’s possible to restart it but i’ve the same error.
San HQ is install on W2K8 (as VM on ESX),(I also try with Win XP with same problem). The PS4000 and the server can ping each other. Firmware is 4.3.2. SMNP community seams to be well set (error on connect if I change the name).
Voilà.

If your normal user account is not using the period as the decimal symbol, when you start the SANHQ GUI and click on a monitored array, you may get a dialog which says, "An unexpected error condition was detected by SAN HeadQuarters. This error condition could prevent SAN HeadQuarters from functioning normally. If this issue persists, we recommend creating an archive using the SAN HeadQuarters and providing to customer support."

One simple solution is to assign a specific user account to do both functions (EqlxPerf Service and the SAN HQ GUI), and to modify the regional settings. Run the Regional and Language OPtions, click Customize, and set the "Decimal symbol" to "." instead of ",". Check with your Windows administrator for other options that may exist.

If that doesn't work please open a case with Dell customer support.

    Solution Title
SANHQ 2.0: "An unexpected error condition was detected by SAN HeadQuarters" when the Windows decimal symbol is not set to "."
    Solution Details
Some international versions of Windows may have a problem with SANHQ 2.0 because of the Decimal Symbol.

SANHQ 2.0 currently requires the decimal symbol to be defined as a period (".") in Windows Regional and Language Settings. Many regionalized Windows installations use a comma (",") instead. This can impact the EqlxPerf service and the SANHQ GUI.

If the user that the EqlxPerf service logs in as is using a decimal symbol other than the period, the SANHQ GUI may show a Critical Alert with the text, "Unexpected Exception in Service" for every monitored array.

This change needs to be made for the EqlxPerf service itself, and also the user that is running the SAN HQ GUI. But first we must change the EqlxPerf service.

The EqlxPerf service is normally set to "Log on as Local System Account", but you can also set the EqlxPerf service to log on as a specific user. Go to the Services list, get Properties on the EqlxPerf service, and see the Log On tab. If EqlxPerf is set to log on as the Local System Account, then it is using the default Windows system language. Otherwise, it is using the regional settings for the user account it is using.

If your default system regionalization does not use "." as the decimal symbol, then you must set the EqlxPerf to log on as a specific user, and then modify that user's settings.

After the EqlxPerf service is setup properly, make sure that you only run the SAN HQ GUI from a user account that has the correct decimal setting.
