Hello Ashok

Congrats on your certification!  If you want to move forward to achieve storage certifications, the E20-001 (Information Storage and Management) Associate level certification is the place to begin. The course and exam provides a broad foundation of storage knowledge, something everyone in the industry should master.  Learn more about it here.

And, please let me know if you decide to pursue it...I'll be waiting to hear from you!

Hi Christopher,

A hearty congratulation on achieving your Specialist level certification, that's a great achievement!

You are now eligible for Knowledge Maintenance, a great program that proactively offers no-cost training if/when technology changes in your area of certification.  Learn more about it here.

So, expecting to move onto the Expert level :-)

Welcome -

Small farm, very cool. Is it a working farm? I'm from Massachusetts and the area I live in has a bunch of small farms. On Sunday's we love driving around and picking up an assortment of goodies from each.

Thanks, glad to be here!

Well, it's a half-working farm!! We just bought it in January and plan on planting hay sometime soon. It's only 40 acre, but it's a good start. We'll be buying some miniature herefords and hogs in the spring as well. Long term plans are to have a small farm stand, but we are still working on gutting and rennovating the house.

Hi James

A great, big welcome to the community!

Can you tell me more about the welcome eMail and the link that was provided?  Looks like we might want to take a look at that to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to reach this commnity to learn and share.

A travel bug, are you?  I think we have quite a few of those in this community, where did your last travels take you?

Michelle

BTW, my last travel was to Utah, US for a week of mountain hiking.  Just beautiful!

Hello MichWa,

It's very interesting to read that you are  maintaining your American Indian traditions.  I also am part (a small part) Narragansett Indian, but my family never introduced me to the culture.  Can you tell us more about your traditions?

Also, are you an EMC Proven Professional or interested in becoming one?  This is a great place to get advice and meet others....maybe even some from southeast of Boston :-)

I'm a Storage Ops Specialist currently living in the Dallas, TX area but on short term assignment in Sacramento, CA.  Originally from the Boston, MA area.

Technical strengths?  Lots of all around skills (Unix Engineer), mostly in the BRS area lately with Networker, where I picked up my first cert last January (EMCPA) and working on the Specialist Cert exam for next week.  Planning on adding certs in the VMax area and Data Domain as well.

One thing most people don't know about me is:  I have worked at Corporate twice since 1993, which is why I have a really low badge number, but only 7 total years working at EMC.  It's funny when someone sees my badge and asks "Is that number right?"  Yes, it is.

Hi Gina,

My badge number is 4 digits.  Definitely a good conversation piece when it comes up.
