Who are you?

I thought I'd start a thread so people can introduce themselves. To participate, reply to this thread with the following information:

  1. Your location (as detailed or broad as you feel comfortable with)
  2. Your technical strengths
  3. One thing most people don't know about you

I'll start:

  1. I am in Massachusetts, but I'm from the Florida Panandle
  2. UNIX, SAN, and now I'm beefing up my IP networking administration skills
  3. I was in musicals in high school

OK, who's next?

Hello Aashish,

thanks for joining us. Your friends and colleagues are welcome to join the discussion as well. By the way how did you find us and are you interested in, or associated with EMC's Proven Professional certification program in your role as a Documentum consultant? Looking forward to interesting conversations.

Hey Charles,

Its pleasure joining you guys.... The theme is something like this.."Wherever the ECM and EMC forums are, you will find Ashish there ..." I have worked as EMC Consultant for an assignment in Sydney and would love to do more assigmnments like that... I am very much interested in this program...Infact I enrolled for the test to promote the culture of being EMC certfied (in my team) and later came to know that this test in not available even in Pearson Vue centres in my city .

Till now Documentum is my favourite ECM system and I used to promote it a lot personally.

Well, I landed to this community and thread from Julie's post (Julie Gibson) i guess.

It is very late here in Inida and I want to complete my understanding on CMIS (I hope you have heard about this initiative from various ECM vendors)

And its a long weekend also here in India so catch you next week and ofcourse we will have some interesting discussions.

Kind Regards,

Ashish Srivastava

Nope, no potato. Just a bunch of ice to numb my lobe. The funnier thing was when I saw my mother the next day (who is a jewlery dealer). She made sure I had something a little more appropriate in my ear that day.

  2. UNIX, Windows, Symmetrix, CLARiiON, Storage Management, Business Continuance products, the list could go on and on...
  3. Didn't I just do a list of 25 things on Facebook? - How about: I got my ear pierced while I was in college, it was done with my then girlfriends pearl earring.

Brian, I used to pierce ears in my younger days; did she use a potato behind your ear?

  1. I, too, am part of the Franklin Education Services crew.  I live up near Lowell, MA.  Although I've been in Massachusetts now for 30+ years, I still think of myself as a New York City kid -- raised and went to college there.
  2. My technical strengths are in training/education evaluation and assessment as well as in sudoko and crossword puzzles.
  3. Among things people don't typically know about me is that I directed a very off- off- off-broadway puppet production of the Little Prince, that a former middleweight boxing champion was once one of my students, and that I spent several years in West Africa helping to eradicate smallpox.
