Hello Hcrvelin,

Welcome to the community. (Is there a another name you'd like to go by?)

I have been to Dubrovnik, that's about as close as I have come, and that was years ago. What have you been doing with your Legato Networker experience?. . . . . and by the way who exactly thinks you are stubborn?

Hi Charles and Stepahnie,

Funny enough I never went (yet) to Dubrovnik even I would love to.  Usually I take vacations during summer and I go south, but by that time Dubrovnik is crowded with people and prices are jumping to the roof... that's not my cup of tea... I like more silence and nature.  Nevertheless, I plan to visit Dubrovnik one day.

Back to your question Charles... mostly I've been supporting Legato/EMC customers through hotline support/onsites/projects/implementations/proffesional services.  Lately (for past year or so) I started to work with Avamar too.

Few years ago I've been working at implementation with PowerSnap along with Symmetrix and since then I fall in love with those DMXs machines.  I plan to expand my knowledge one day in Symmetrix area (hopefully, one day Symmetrix emulator will be available too).

Hello Heavy_D,

thanks for the posting, and welcome to the community. Are you on track to move up to Specialist level, and if so, what are you going to focus on?

regards,

Charles

oh yes... speaking of Saxiphone, I attended an interesting chamber concert yesterday in Portland, Maine which featured a string quartet+sax (making it a Quintet) by a young Isralie composer by the name of Gil Shohat. Different but nice combination of tonalities.

Hello everyone,

It’s time for me to introduce myself too. I’m Faisal Muhammad born in Pakistan and finished my study in Manila, Philippines at the Adamson University. I left Manila with my B.S. Computer Engineering and M.S. Management Engineering diplomas.

On 27th December 1996 I came to Netherlands. I worked as a Senior Unix/Storage Administrator for 7 years at Tele2-Versatel (EMC² customer). Then on June 2007 I’ve decided to join EMC² Computer Systems (Benelux) B.V. as a Storage/Implementation Specialist.

I enjoy working at EMC² and get opportunities to expand my knowledge.

In the mean time I have acquired the following certifications:

• EMCPA - EMC² Proven Professional (ETF) in 2007

• EMCIE - EMC² Implementation Engineer, Symmetrix Business Continuity - SRDF/TimeFinder Specialist in 2008

• CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Associate in 2008

When I am not working I like to do Inline speed skating, Ice skating, Skiing, Snowboarding and Cycling.

Regards,

Faisal Muhammad

Hello Faisal, with all those winter sports you'd be sure to enjoy New England right now!  We have between 6 inches and 12 inches of snow on the ground!

You have achieved many certifications, can you share with us how they have helped you?  We're always interested in learning about the results of certification; we recently had a member of the community share how he was selected for a position because he had his Associate level certiifcation. We hope that all of our certified individuals find that kind of value in their credential.  How about you?
