@Bhaskar_1980  You should change windows update strangers on the internet in windows update advanced settings and set your wifi to metered connection. turn off all background apps, turn live tiles off for all start menu items, etc.

Deactivate Wi-Fi Assist or Smart Network Switch.

Apple iPhones and Android devices have built-in features that will use your wireless data to boost your Wi-Fi signal. For iPhones, it’s called Wi-Fi Assist, and for Android devices, it’s called Smart Network Switch. Basically, if your Wi-Fi signal is moving at a snail’s pace, then these functions will use your cellular data to improve performance.

@DELL-Cares​ Hello. I'm using dell Inspiron 15 3000. When i connected with wifi the data usage is more than expected.

Data usage is very high when i connect the laptop with my phone's personal hotspot. And i have updated windows also even though data consumption is high.

@DELL-Cares​ hello I also have the same problem and my PC is dell latitude 5410, I've tried everything to make stop but all the same , I even tried to use the sim slot but i guess that's not working please what should I do?
