Dimension 9150, ethernet cable

I recently acquired an almost new Dimension 9150 desktop. What specification ethernet cable should I use to connect to the internet via my existing Dimension 3100C?

Or should I use an ethernet-USB adaptor?

Both machines are running Windows XP.

Any suggestions would appreciated.
