Seagate external hdd keeps disconnecting
Seagate external hdd keeps disconnecting from my Inspiron 5400AIO running win 11. It works fine on my macbook and my old studio 540 (win10). I have tried it in all usb ports including usb2 port and this happens in all of them. I am not sure if it exhibited this fault before upgrading to win11. It locks up file explorer eventually and I have to physically disconnect it to get control back. Any ideas?

I have since checked for and downloaded 6 updates from dell and the problem seems to be solved. I should have tried this at first.
