Audio output not installed
I turned my computer on today and my sound icon has a red circle with an x in the middle of it stating, "No audio output device is installed". I went to device managers and I tried to update my sound drivers, but when I tried it flashed a code 39, "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39). Object Name not found." I also tried uninstalling drivers and this did not fix my problem. Please help.

Since this problem happen recently, run System Restore tool on the computer. System Restore will bring back your computer to an earlier time as when Audio output was functioning normally.
Note: System Restore doesn't affect any of your documents, pictures, or any other personal data. Recently installed programs and drivers might be uninstalled.
