Base System Device
I have an Inspiron 3000 windows 10, 4 months old. In the device manger under Other Devices, I have the dreaded yellow exclamation point and it says Base System Device..click on it it says no drivers (code 28) It will not let me update the drivers, says windows can't find them. I read the next step was to go to properties, click uninstall, restart the laptop and it would reinstall the drivers..nope..that didn't work. I went to Dells page and tried looking the Base System Device Driver, nothing came up in search...I'm really stuck here. can anyone give me some help? I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Inspiron 3000 is a family of laptops.
Which model do you actually have?
I would start with the chipset driver first.

hi
kindly restart and perform dell hardware checkup
once in windows , use windows update to update drivers instead of support assist .
do kudos and accept if okay .
