Battery indicator flashing white twice - POST problem
Was using my Inspiron 15 7559 on battery when it suddenly turned off. I tried turning it back on but it didn't seem to do anything.
Connected it to the power supply and the indicator was solid white (indicating that it's charging). I pushed the power button and the battery indicator flashes white twice. There is no fan noise or anything on the screen. Everytime the power button is pushed the battery indicator flashes white twice.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Dell Community @SteffEvans27
Hold down the "D" key, push the power button, release the power button, wait 2-3 seconds and release the "D" key
The laptop should go through an LCD test of solid White, Red, Green, Blue and Black 2 or 3 times.
After completion it should try to automatically boot 2 or 3 times.
Post your results.

Thanks for replying so quickly.
Another slight problem I have is that the screen doesn't work. I've been using it with a monitor for the past two years with no problems at all.
I tried your suggestion and it didn't seem to do anything. However, I did notice that the number of battery indicator flashes depends on how long I hold the power button down.
If I press it once then it only flashes once.
Holding it down a bit longer means two flashes and so on.
Thanks

Update: Battery is now showing as fully charged.
When I try and turn it on, the white indicator comes on, remains solid for a second and then goes off.
So doesn't appear to be flashing as I previously thought.

@SteffEvans27
Now would be the time to Disconnect the AC adapter and the "Main" battery.
Then press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds.
Post your results. Regards,

Removed the ac adapter, took the back cover off and removed the battery. Held the power button down for 15-30 seconds.
Tried it with just the ac adapter and it was the same problem so assuming I can rule the battery out for now?
Put it all back together and the issue still persisted. When I push the power button the battery indicator turns white for a few seconds but then disappears.
Thanks

@U2CAMEB4ME Pressing the power button and the D key stopped the double blink but the LCD test did not take place.
I also disconnected the AC adapter but nothing seems to happen.
