Beeper - how to disable ?
Inspiron 3148
Beeper problem.
Hello. I am looking for help with the following issue:
My dell inspiron 3147 laptop has broken down and the display started to crash. The touchscreen functions work. The screen occasionally displays the image (less and less often), but usually not - I can only use the computer when another monitor is connected via HDMI (but the touch screen function works all the time on the laptop). Nevertheless, when the computer boots up, an alert sound (beep) appears in 8 series, which of course may indicate a problem with the display.
That's all I know. The service looked at the computer, they suggested soldering - with the threat of immamental damage to the computer if something went wrong; I refused - the computer serves me as a stationary anyway, I will not risk it, I cannot afford a new one, just in case.
The problem, however, is the loud beeper sound when windows start - it can be heard for a kilometer, and which I cannot turn off. I really would love to disable this beeper. The only thing that modulates it in some way - it's like in the attached screenshot: after turning the controller OFF, the computer starts to beep again, like when starting up, 8 times in series, just as loud, unfortunately.
I would love this beeper to stop beeping… help

You can either fix the issue (replace the display cable and/or the display) or disconnect the speakers.

you ma be wrong, since the sound doesn't come from external speakers.

It's the internal speaker(s) you need to disconnect, not the external ones.

The problem is solved. What was damaged was the tape connecting screen with computer. Thank you for your engagement.
