Dell Inspiron Motherboard Defect
Hi Dell Support, and all,
I bought a DELL Inspiron laptop with confidence (Inspiron 13 5310) in Nov 2021, and last week, the laptop went dead. I performed some basic power checks, but the screen was black with no reaction. I brought the laptop to a repair shop, and the conclusion is definitive: the motherboard is dead and non reparable. The technician explained that he has seen quite a few coming back over the last months.
My question to DELL and the community is: how come this happens after only 2.5 years!? Did this occur to you? And of course after warranty expired. Please tell me this is a known issue that can be managed by DELL. I am happy to be contacted for more details. Thanks.

Given that the mainboard is a collection of components large and small, composed of multiple layers and operating in a hot environment, any number of possibilities exist. And no, it won't be covered by warranty; repair is at your expense.
