dell wm118 wireless mouse stop working randomly
dell wm118 wireless mouse ( combo with wk118) stops working randomly many times within 30 seconds after powering on via the power switch underneath, sometimes it works around 10-20 minutes. Problem is battery is new LED indicator blinks for sometimes or the LED near the optical sensor goes dark as like as no power probably the hole mouse in a deep sleep mode, to resume I need to push the power button again to off and then on position. It works again.
The frequency of the error increased gradually.
I have replaced the exact model once before due to another issue ( the usb dongle not detected )
Now I am out of warranty period. It's a community so I am asking is it just usable for warranty period I mean like expiry date use before warranty!
No troubleshooting explained anywhere.

Hi exactsolution,
Try to access the following link, then enter your Service Tag, scan for all the drivers' updates then install and restart the computer:
https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us?app=drivers
Hopefully it helps ~~

It's out of warranty as I explained.
As you know company's does not solve outside the warranty as it is not there responsibility anymore. That's why I am asking here in a community for some kind of resolution.
It's not about the system driver it's within the mouse itself are you saying a faulty driver can force the mouse to go to deep sleep or power off wirelessly ? If so I have no idea what you are talking about.
Read properly before replying.
Need a reply not a tag.
Thanks anyway

Did you try to connect a Wired mouse to see if that works ?
can you open Dell Support assist and check if there are any errors.
if you have tried all settings and even System Restore gave up, i would recommend to go ahead and Reset your system.

It's probably not the right community did anyone really read here or it's just bots auto responding with some random predefined answer?
And the funny thing is it's mark as the accepted solution!
What can I say
It's the best community I ever have
