docking station D6000 - Ethernet issue

Question

Hi!  I recently had to switch out my router at home (power surge killed the old one). Now, my Ethernet port on the D6000 docking station is not recognizing that I have an Ethernet cable plugged in. All other ports work just fine. I even unplugged everything and restart my laptop. For fun, I connected the Ethernet cable from the wall straight into another laptop (not connected to the docking station) and the Ethernet hard wire connection worked just fine. For some reason, the Ethernet port of the docking station is not recognizing when I have an Ethernet cable plugged into it. Does anyone have an idea what’s wrong?  I hate to have to go spend money to buy another docking station Thanks for any help you can provide!

Was the docking station connected to the router that was zapped?  If so, it sounds like it wasn't just the router that suffered damage.

Yes, it was unfortunately. Now I am seeing that the LED light inside the Ethernet port is no longer illuminated.
