Error code 2000-0712

Every time I wake up the computer after it has been in sleep mode for more than a couple of hours (lid open), I get the error 2000-0712 - The fan failed to respond correctly.

It says to go to the support assist page and enter all the information shown about the error, but I can't find a page in Support where I can do that.  If I've got a bad fan, I need to take care of it!

Thanks for any help you can give.

If the system is under warranty, record the error and the corresponding validation code and call Dell support.

If the system is out of warranty, you can contact Dell for a repair estimate, or take the system to the repair shop of your choice.
