What is the exact model of your system? Also make sure that you have enabled AHCI in the BIOS. To access the BIOS start tapping F2 at the Dell splash screen when you boot the system.

To solve this problem follow these steps:
To enter Safe Mode, do the following:
Restart your computer while it boots. Do this until you start Automatic Repair.
Select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings. Click the Restart button.
When your PC restarts, you'll see a list of options. Press 5 or F5 to enter Safe Mode with Networking.

Your issue is that your system is set up by Dell in UEFI mode and disk are set up to use IRST Raid drive.

You need to boot your MCT install media in UEFI mode  on boot up spam the F12 key a one time boot menu will come up select your media UEFI USB. Now you will start your Windows 10 install. When you get to the point that the install as you to select the volume you want to install windows too. You see no drive right? ok this is where you select I have a file or something like that. Now Then before you started the install you would have first off downloaded all the available driver for your particular notebook

To get this information you need to log on to support, enter your model number and most importantly Enter your Service Tag Number.

That will open all the hardware information on your Particular notebook, You should download and read your Service Manual. There you will find under downloads all your hardware drivers and Dell software download and save these files to a USB external drive or thumb drive. Now then you're still going to need the correct  IRST driver so you'll go to Intel  Download this driver f6flpy-x64.zip, and unzip this file to a folder on your USB install thumb drive. This is the latest Intel IRST driver.

So now you have the IRST driver when you click on the I have a file browse to the IRST driver and it will install and Miracle there your hard drive/SSD will appear as a volume to install windows 10 too.

Once the installation is completed the first driver to install is the Chipset,

I have a specific problem, my laptop's default SATA hard disk cable is damaged when I tried to replace it with an SSD.

So I removed the cable and decided to buy a DVD-bay to HDD-SSD adapter and run windows from my DVD-bay, but windows were unable to install from DVD-bay and gave an error on the setup page. But Ubuntu installation worked fine, so I'm thinking it is not a hardware-related problem.

But i needed windows and decided to use windows with my Sandisk cz80 and have been using it since, but now I saw that wintohdd is out I installed it.

The problem I'm having is, my windows don't boot when there is an SSD in the DVD bay, and it is the only operating system to run winched.

So i unmounted my ssd and put it in a usb enclosure, then run wintohdd and installed the windows 10 to the ssd succesfully.

Then I boot the USB-SSD and finished the installation. After installation is completely finished and I'm on windows desktop, I shut down the pc and take the SSD from the USB enclosure, and put it back to DVD-bay, hoping that it may work.

Once i booted i get this error when loading with the windows logo

"inaccessible boot device error"

i searched the internet and it might be "MBR" related, is there anything I can do to solve this problem?

is you BIOS SATA set for RAID? this is the default, If you can change it to AHCI and try again.

If you cant change to AHCI you'll have to install the IRST Raid driver to your hard drive/SSD before the Windows Install can see your hard drive/SSD

this is the driver that needs to be installed f6flpy-x64.zip

download it from the Intel website, extract the Zip to a clean USB thumb drive. Once the install starts and you get to select a volume to install to. Select I have a disk or something like that, point it to your IRST driver on your USB thumb drive and ten your Hard Drive/SSD will show up as a Volume to install too.

Thank you! Worked for me. I got a blue screen after a BIOS update.
