Inspiron 15 1567, fan loud under heavy load
Hello dear community members. i recently got my my cpu fan changed by a Dell technician, but under heavy load it is making loud noise even without throwing any good amount of air, my last cpu fan that came with my laptop was making negligible amount of noise while cooling my laptop effectively. should try to lubricate it with some oil to make it smooth? Thanks In Advance.

Hi @vickygamer you did not share Model, Revision, Operating System, Dell Warranty status. Do not try to 'lubricate' the new CPU fan which has seemingly been damaged during installation.
When Dell changed CPU fan, a Contractor was assigned by Dell to undertake the exchange. Dell 100% guarantees the work undertaken by its assigned Contractor, who may never have undertaken any Dell work before, has no Dell training, and has seemingly messed-up the exchange installation.
Please amend the existing Service Request, tell Dell that their Contractor messed-up, and request Dell to assign a competent Contractor to install a new replacement CPU fan and fix any subsequent damage.

Dear crimson,
Thanks for your reply..
Dell inspiron 15 1567 with 2 GB AMD Graphics card. Windows 10 home.
Actually it was out of warranty paid service, fan is spinning but is not as good as brand new cpu fan, Because of this i am not playing any game to avoid any further damage.
i thought lubricating might help.

Hi @vickygamer the YouTube video mentions that the top of the fan housing can be removed, although its not included in the video, the screw locations are identified in the video. It seems that this can be undertaken without removing the cooling assembly from the motherboard. Perhaps debris or bent fan blade(s) is making loud fan noise.

Hi @vickygamer thank you for sharing update. Cannot find Inspiron 15 1567, is it Inspiron 15 5567? Support for Inspiron 15 5567 includes removal of the single cooling fan for CPU & GPU cooling.
New CPU Cooling Fan For Dell Inspiron 15-5567 can be purchased on eBay, example NEW CPU Cooling Fan For Dell Inspiron 15-5565 15-5567 P66F 17-5767 Series 0789DY | eBay
Replacing the fan assembly is shown in the following video. There are YouTube webpage comments.
