Inspiron Plus 7630 Fan Noise

Inspiron 16 Plus 7630

Inspiron 16 Plus 7630

Is the (left hand) fan on the 16 Plus normally very noisy, causing vibration to the top left hand part of the keyboard?
My computer is 3 months old and it has been like this from new.

You'll need to contact Dell to see if they'll replace the fan under warranty.

That the same for me, I deal with light task (MS Office, and web browsing), and the computer, is very noisy.

I contacted dell, they made me update bunch of drivers and firmware, and no change.

No solutions is provided by dell.

As read somewhere else the computer thermal paste between the CPU and the cooler might not be well set.

I've had my fans and heatsink replaced under warranty. The fans still spin up quite loud from time-to-time. Even under light load tasks such as general web browsing, Youtube and MS office.

I also wondered whether the temps for the CPU (picture below) are normal?

I bought a Dell Inspiron 16 Model 7160 in December 2022, I had nothing but problems with it, the issue was the mouse track plate was defective and froze or was not controllable,

Dell replaced this 5 times, yes 5 TIMES, each time would last less than 2 months with very little use, eventually after a lifetime on the phone and alleged customer service, I received a refund and last week bought a Inspiron 16 plus 7630,

Initially thought what a great computer as it fired up for the first time, and then within a minute what I thought was a jet coming through the window, the fan kicked in and the noise was ridiculous, you couldn't concentrate and the machine went very warm and then cold, but the fan continued,

I left the laptop alone for 3 hours, thinking it was just some initial start up issue, but the fan continued, so I rang support to ask if this was a problem or normal, but the half asleep disinterested person in support, clearly didn't want to talk, so I packed it up and it is now on its way back to Dell.

So much for giving Dell a second chance.

Can anyone recommend a good replacement laptop 16 or 17" screen

The problem with systems that size is that they're generally designed for gaming and high performance, with upmarket GPUs.  That means they generate a copious quantity of heat and need cooling.

You need to decide which is more important:  cooler and quieter operation, or high performance.  If the former is paramount, look for a system with a mid-range CPU and integrated video.
