No, but your dual threaded asking of the same question makes it confusing to follow.

What I wrote is that it is unlikely that any BIOS update will add support for a backlit keyboard that wasn't present when the system was new.

On my Laptop the keyboard backlit slot named KBLIT is available. So it should work. Is it.

Go into setup - there will be an enable setting for the backlight (F2 at powerup) if the system supports a backlit keyboard.

There will be a backlight option in system setup -- the hardware is only part of the support.  If that option is not present in setup, the system does not support a backlit keyboard (it is common for the same basic system board to be used in multiple models, so the presence of a backlight connector is not always sure confirmation of backlit keyboard support).

Unlikely, but possible.  A16 is the latest BIOS:

If that's in place and you don't see the option to turn the backlight on/off, your system does not support a backlit keyboard.

Thanks, I will update the latest BIOS and see whether the option is available in BIOS.So if it is not there, you are telling that system does not support a backlit keyboard. Are you sure?

Unlikely;  the system is a budget one to begin with, so speedy performance is not part of the design.

If there's no backlight option in setup, then the system has no backlight support.

You are saying that it is possible to add a backlit keyboard option into BIOS after the latest update.

It is possible, particularly if the BIOS has microcode to update against some of the Intel CPU exploits of recent years.
