Reinstalling windows with broken screen

Today I decided to reinstall windows because my laptop has been acting slow and so:

My laptop screen is broken, so I use monitor

And whilst I was reinstalling windows my laptop turned off, while I was turning on I can't switch to my monitor, and I don't know what to do with that, because my laptop screen is completely broken

Try pressing F8 key or Fn + F8 keys together to enable external monitor.
