Support Assist Error Codes

Inspiron 5547

Inspiron 5547

I keep on getting the following error codes when I run the support assist Hardware scan:

USB Status - Fail - USB Status Tests - D0605

PCI - Fail - USB Status Tests - D0605

PCI Status - Fail - PCI Status Tests - D0702

SM Bus Controller - Fail - PCI Status Tests - D0702

Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Run the Dell diagnostics outside of Windows -- press F12 to access.  If any error codes arise there, they are likely real.  If they do not, chalk it up to Support Assist false positives (your system is close to ten years old - - support assist may be looking for something it does not support).

Error received after updating fingerprint driver to Goodix version from 3.0.38.200 to version 3.21.38.800

  • USB status - Fail: USB Status Test - D0605

  • Biometric - Fail: USB Status Test - D0605

USB ports are working fine, but cannot use fingerprint as windows device manager reports status as "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

Device: Inspiron 5402/5409

Operating System: Window 11 Pro

Dell online diagnostics reports all ok on Dell Precision Workstation M4800....But Support Assist hardware scan of Network Card (Bluetooth) returns following error codes-

- Loopback Test - D1301

- Network Link Test - D1302

- Internet Connection Test - D1304

- Local Network Communication Test - D1305

- Data Transfer Validation Test - D1306

Doesn't Dell provide Support Assist error code interpretation table?
