Usage without battery
I have the dell Inspiron 5559 (not 15 series) its old with a I3 6100U. Recently my battery has been failing, + a week ago it started working normally (waited for 5 months) But now it shuts down all the time even when plugged in. All I wanna do is use it without constantly shutting down

Could be an issue with the power adapter (try a new OEM adapter) or the DC jack.

Any more than that will cost more to repair than the system is worth.

@ejn63 adapter works fine, I've seen battery replacements for 1.4K ₹ on amazon, and the battery slides easily out (also it is 15 5559 inspiron)

If the system shuts down when the adapter is plugged in, the battery is not the problem -- either there's a bad connection (hence the adapter and DC jack reference) or there's a problem with the system board.

The battery may be faulty, or if it's not OEM, that may be one issue.
However, even a faulty battery won't result in a shutdown on AC power -- that may be a bad adapter, DC jack or a bad mainboard.
How much you want to spend repairing a system this old and worth maybe $50 at this point is a question you'll have to answer.
