If you want to use SmartConnectZone name to access Isilon from your application server you have at least 2 choices.
1) Set the new SmartConnect name for yyy.abc.com and set NS or forwarder for the name in abc.com
2) Use the xxx.bcd.com zone name(which you proberbly have already set to your Isilon) from the application. In this case if you already have set forwarder for bcd.com in your abc.com DNS server, you may not need any additional settings.

If abc.com and bcd.com are trusted domain, what you need to do are as follows:
1) put the ACL on the files or directories for application
2) put the permission for abc.com users on the share settings
3) make sure that dns set in the isilon could resolve abc.com
