auto deletion after 30 days...
Hi there,
We have a smb share setup as a scratch space, I would estimate will be around 5-10TB in size. and currently we want to setup an automated way of purging data older than a certain threshold, say 30 days. Currently the only way i can see to do this is by using an external script on a window or linux box. Is there a way to automate such a process that is native to the isilon for a particular directory?

Hello storageSysAdmin,
No there is not a way to run an auto delete job on your Isilon. If you were using snapshots you can auto delete them, but you can’t auto delete any directory or files that are not snapshots.
