We have two vCenters in enhanced linked mode. For some reason it works with one vCenter but not the other and I have to select the working vCenter first or else it does not work at all and I need to reboot the Isilon Management appliance.
Solution found, increase memory on Isilon Management virtual appliance from default 4GB. Error in isilonsd.log "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space. It was working on other vCenters I presume as they did not have as many Datacenters
I'm having similar issue with ver. 1.1. vSphere Client plugin just shows an empty pane and trying to fetch the list in the management server eventually times out with an empty list. the log also shows an OutOfMemoryError / Java heap space. Tried bumping RAM on VM and rebooting but have same results. Just a small vCenter with only 2 vDatacenters.
Anyone know how to bump max heap space within the virtmgmt startup? I don't see a typical jvm wrapper conf file anywhere.

I have a simmilar problem with an Isiloon Edge SD deployment. Increased RAM from 4 GB to 16 GB an still receiving the same error listing datacenter resources "Fetching DataCenters" ... "Error retieving datacenter List".
Got Isilon SD Managemet Server Version 11.1
Connecting vCenter server via FQDN and IP number, same error.
