DNS and Smartconnect
Our current infrastructure uses Split-brain DNS and we use Forward Delegation records. isilon Smartconnect cannot resolve, when DNS forward delegation is enabled. Surely we are not the only customer of EMC that has this enabled. Question to Vendor:- How do we configure Smartconnect to work correctly within an environment that has Forward Delegations are enabled?

Are you using split-brain DNS to present 'legacy' host names?
Say the clients are configured to mount from
fileserver.example.com
while
in dept1 that would resolve to pool1.isilon.example.com
in dept2 that would resolve to pool2.isilon.example.com
This will not work when SmartConnect 'sees' the original requests for fileserver.example.com.
Makes sense?
