How do i calculate the useable storage space on isilon storage

Hi Support-team,

We have a isilon X210 storage, and it contains five node, and it's system is OneFS version 7.2.1. The storage data protection use the default data protection N:2+1, it allows two hard disk broken and one node failover!

Now, we use five node and one node have 12 hard disk,every disk have 2 TB. After setting, we can see 108TB space to use.

we have found a strange phenomenone, we sure we have only used about 20 TB space, but from Windows operation system, we check that the used space is about 33TB.

My question is how do i check the storage useable space, from window client, we map the network dirve and see the useable space is 108 TB, can we full use those space?

about five node, i want to know how much space will occupied for data protection?

Also, i want to know how much space will occupied for fragmentation space?

All storage usage calculations are approximate. The size of the files you store will change the size the amount of those files you can store.

If you have very large files, the data protection overhead is pretty good. If you have very small files, say <128K, then your data protection overhead. There is no way in Windows to tell you exactly when the disk will fill.
