How to change network setting, no available iiq_network command in ver4.1.0

Hi all,

I deployed InsightIQ ver 4.1.0 into ESXi 6.0 with ovt format, and set administrator's password.

After that InsightIQ asked whether change network setting or not, we could choose no

in the prompt.

Checking InsightIQ installation document, it describes to configure a static IP address for InsightIQ,

InsightIQ provides iiq_network command to configure, but the command is not found.

In previous ver of InsightIQ, I found the command paths are like that.

/use/bin/sudo

/opt/vmware/share/vami/vami_config_net

Unfortunatelly these commands are not in the InsighIQ ver4.1.0.

Question, if I skip a network configuration after setting administartor's password,

how can I set an ip address in ver 4.1.0?

Hi ,asajorp_uchida,

According to the InsightIQ 4.1.0 Administration Guide on page 11, the iiq_network command should still be available. If after following the steps in the guide, the command is still not found. I recommend opening a service request with Isilon Support. https://onlinesupport.emc.com/SRCreate

Modifying virtual machine network settings

Modify the network settings for the InsightIQ virtual machine.

Procedure

1. In the virtual machine manager, right-click the virtual machine for InsightIQ,

select Open Console and log in to the console with the InsightIQ administrator

account.

2. From the console, use the keyboard to perform the following steps:

a. Select Login and then press Enter.

3. Type the InsightIQ administrator username and press Enter.

4. Type the InsightIQ administrator password and press Enter.

5. At the command line, type iiq_network and press Enter.

6. Type the InsightIQ administrator password and press Enter.

Ran into the same issue with IIQ 4.1.1 and confirmed that iiq_network has been removed.  If you want to configure the network interface, treat it like any other CentOS machine and modify the network configuration files under /etc/sysconfig and /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/
