InsightIQ Authorization Error After patch-211980
We patched our cluster, patch-211980 and InsightIQ started having issues communicating to the cluster. This is the error we see on the InsightIQ webUI
ERROR [insightiq.lib.api_connection.OnefsAPI_7_0] 401 Unauthorized Request
and insightiq.logs shows this when we try to reset the password for the insightiq user
2018-03-08 16:47:04,789 ERROR [insightiq.lib.api_connection.OnefsAPI_7_0] 401 Unauthorized Request: https://X.X.X.X:8080/platform/3/license/licenses/InsightIQ
2018-03-08 16:51:42,555 INFO [insightiq.lib.api_connection.OnefsAPI] Detected 8.0 or later Platform API on host X.X.X.X
Our InsightIQ license is good. We are on OneFS 8.0.0.4 and InsightIQ 4.1.1.3
Has anyone seen this? Any ideas what is going on?

You need to upgrade to InsightIQ version 4.1.2 to fix this. See kb article: https://support.emc.com/kb/517728
From that article:
"IMPORTANT: If you update Isilon OneFS with a patch from this list, and you are using Insight IQ, you must upgrade to Insight IQ 4.1.2 prior to installing the patch."

Maybe the insightiq account (on the Isilon) has somehow lost its role/privileges?

Yan, That is correct. That was the fix. BUT the "IMPORTANT" information was added later after we started patching...:)
It was not in the original advisory and it was not in the README of the patch either.

What is the recourse then if IIQ was upgraded to 4.1.2.7 and still the collection fails intermittently? A total rebuild of IIQ? Seems wonky to me to say the least that IIQ would need to be upgraded before those security patches (basically no way to repair things if not done in that order).
