Is it possible to migrate an SMB share between access zones?
We need to move several SMB shares from the system zone to a newly created zone. All permissions will stay the same, we just want to move it between access zone. Is this possible with a CLI command or script? I haven't found much documentation about migrating SMB shares between access zones.
Please advise if this is possible without having to manually delete and create the SMB shares.

It is not possible without delete and recreate of the shares or exports. This feature is planned on Eyeglass in Q1, Eyeglass Isilon Edition - Business Protection You Can Count On we are also looking at conversion feature for SMB3 shares in OneFS 8.0 to CA shares.
The feature would allow moving data and related share or export to new or existing Access Zones (will work within the same cluster or between different clusters with SyncIQ licenses)
ECN landing page here Superna Eyeglass with SyncIQ - Isilon Info Hub

Hi Andrew,
will the discribed feature in Eyeglass be an automated delete and create with all settings retained or will this utilise other functionalities?

It would create first, if successful delete. Selection of Access zone local (or remote cluster), with option to sync data + configuration data into new access zone OR option to only sync configuration data into the access zone (and create folder for you since path does not exist yet).
This is an extension of the current migration job already supported in Eyeglass to move data between clusters with the configuration data.
Eyeglass creates temporary SyncIQ policies to copy the data and then deletes the policy when completed.
All of the above is based on new feature in testing now that makes a snapshot of production policy data at the DR site into another access zone for DR or data and application upgrade testing. It's a Sync of Data + configuration from production (3rd copy) at the DR site. This allows DR to never be impacted while allowing testing on a copy of production data in an Access zone to allow duplicate share and exports that don't impact production or DR copy of data.
When available the ECN landing page will be updated with link to feature details.

Andrew,
i really like your training videos, if you provide an accompanying video for this new functionality that would be great.
