ISILON FTP LOG

Hi,

I would like to know if it's possible to get the FTP log from ISILON?

It's a 12000IQ cluster in ONeFS 6.5.

I would like to track strange activity, and if a file has been downloaded.

Thanks

The default log file path is /var/log/vsftpd.log

It is local to each node.

Hi Thibault75.

Each node has its own set of log files. Some logs are general logs and some are process specific, such as logs for SMB, NFS, FTP or SCSI hardware logs. The raw logs on each node are located under the /var/log directory. Under the /var/log directory, a series of different log file subdirectories exist which contain the individual log files.

The default method to upload log files is using the isi_gather_info command run either from the CLI or under the mask of "Gather Info" in the web administration interface. Log files are collected and package into a single tarball. the tarball of log files is uploaded to the Isilon ftp site (ftp://ftp.isilon.com/incoming) and are automatically transferred to the log processor to be unpacked.
